According to the statement of Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella , the cornerstones of this organization will be laid by Mustafa Suleyman and Karén Simonyan , leading names in the world of artificial intelligence . While Mustafa Suleyman will serve as the Executive Chairman and CEO of Microsoft AI , Karén Simonyan will also be a Chief Scientist in this team.
While Mustafa Suleyman is known as one of the founders of important companies such as DeepMind and Inflection in the past, Karén Simonyan has also achieved major artificial intelligence successes such as AlphaZero .

Who is Mustafa Suleyman?
Born in August 1984, Mustafa Süleyman CBE is the co-founder and former head of applied artificial intelligence at DeepMind, an artificial intelligence company acquired by Google and now owned by Alphabet. He is currently actively leading a startup called Inflection AI.
Süleyman’s father is a taxi driver of Syrian origin and his mother is a nurse of British origin. He grew up with his parents and two younger brothers in Caledonian Road in the London Borough of Islington.
Süleyman, who started his education at Thornhill Primary School (a public school in Islington), later went to a boys’ language school called Queen Elizabeth’s School in Barnet. During this period, he met DeepMind’s co-founder, Demis Hassabis, through his best friend, Demis’ younger brother.
